The Team
The Vancouver Island Regional Office – Services to Adults, Client Services Team is an established and collaborative group dedicated to protecting the legal and financial interests of incapable adults across British Columbia. The immediate team includes four case managers and is part of a broader Client Services Team of 18 members, working closely with professionals such as Financial Analysts, Regional Financial Officers, Case Agents, administrative staff, Investment Officers, and the Field Services team. Together, they deliver critical work that safeguards vulnerable British Columbians. The team is known for being hardworking, client centered, and flexible, with a strong focus on collaboration and delivering meaningful outcomes.
The Role
In this role, the successful candidate provides a wide range of individualized services to vulnerable adults who need support managing personal, health, financial, or legal matters. Responsibilities include ensuring assets are protected, preventing financial abuse, and supporting clients daily needs while they live in the community. The work has a direct and meaningful impact on individuals who may be affected by mental illness, developmental disabilities, traumatic brain injuries, or degenerative conditions such as dementia. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor of Social Work. Master’s preferred. Degrees in social sciences discipline may be considered (e.g. psychology, sociology, gerontology, or related field)
- Minimum of three years of progressive and recent related experience working in a setting oriented towards providing services to people with disabilities, a mental illness, developmental disability, traumatic brain injury or degenerative conditions affecting brain functions (e.g. dementia)
- Minimum of one year experience in case management to effectively and independently manage a complex caseload , preference may be given for experience in financial management
- A valid Class 5 B.C. driver’s licence

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work from home up to 3 days a week subject to an approved telework agreement.
There is currently a temporary opportunity available until May 31, 2027.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies.
