The Team
The Investigations Support Services – Affected Persons Liaison Team is an established team within the Independent Investigations Office (IIO) that works alongside investigators to support individuals and families affected by police‑related incidents. As a small, collaborative team of three liaisons, members bring compassion, cultural humility, and a non‑judgmental approach to ensure people feel informed, respected, and able to participate throughout the investigative process. This team’s work has a meaningful impact during highly difficult moments, helping uphold fairness, dignity, and the IIO’s independent, civilian‑led mandate across communities in British Columbia.
The Role

It is a public service opportunity for professionals who value equity, dignity, and empathy, and who are motivated to make a tangible difference during some of the most challenging moments in people’s lives.
