The Cranbrook/Kimberley Child and Youth Mental Health Team brings together a close-knit group of experienced clinicians who value collaboration, learning, and meaningful connection. This supportive team works alongside families, schools, and health professionals to serve children and youth with a wide range of mental health needs—including through regional programs like Eating Disorders, Early Psychosis Intervention, and Infant Mental Health. Rooted in trust and relationship-building, this team shows up for each other and the community in a way that makes the work both impactful and deeply rewarding.
The Role
As a Mental Health Clinician with the Cranbrook/Kimberley CYMH team, you’ll step into a role where you provide intake, assessment, and treatment for children and youth experiencing moderate to severe mental health challenges. This opportunity lets you build your clinical skills in a highly supportive environment with strong supervision and a collaborative team. If you’re passionate about making a difference and helping kids and families navigate tough times, this role offers both purpose and professional growth—with the potential to evolve into a permanent part-time position down the road.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters in Counselling, Social Work, Educational Counselling, Clinical Counselling, Clinical Psychology or Child and Youth Care or comparable graduate degree at the Master’s level in a similar subject may be considered.
- NOTE: If your degree was obtained outside of Canada, you need to confirm it has been assessed for equivalency through the International Credential Evaluation Services (ICES). You must provide a basic report by the closing date of this posting to be considered.
- Minimum of one year full-time equivalent experience working with children and youth and their families, with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services.
- Must possess and maintain a valid class 5 BC Driver’s license with no restriction or equivalent (i.e. from another Canadian Province).

This is a temporary opportunity until 10/01/26. This position may be extended or become permanent.
Flexible work options are available subject to an approved telework agreement.
